Behind-the-scenes tour: L.L.Bean’s Manufacturing Facilities. Meet at Museum L-A to begin the tour in a comfortable and eco-friendly motor coach. The first stop is Brunswick, where we will tour the manufacturing facility where L.L.Bean’s most iconic products are made − the Maine Hunting Shoe, Bean Boot and Boat and Tote Bag.  The next stop is Freeport for leisurely shopping and lunch. Bring a brown bag lunch or treat yourself to a lobster roll at Linda Bean’s Topside Tavern. After lunch we’ll travel to L.L.Bean’s boot-bottom molding operation in Lewiston for a tour personally lead by L.L.Bean’s senior manufacturing VP, Jack Samson. It’s a full day of activities for $40 per person.  Seating is limited; Reserve your seats early! Register by calling 207-333-3881 or email info@museumla.org

Please Note: Since we are in a manufacturing environment, there are certain regulations that we will ask you to comply with to ensure your personal safety.  We ask that you wear comfortable, flat, sneaker-style shoes or work boots. Additionally, we will ask you to wear safety glasses, provided on site.  Lastly, some of the facilities may not be handicapped accessible.
